March 11, 2021TILTON The Winnisquam girls basketball team had a goal entering the season to win a playoff game and this year the Bears did that for the first time in more than a decade, with Winnisquam topping Inter-Lakes 48-31 in the opening round of the Division 3 state tournament.
It was a tight game in the first quarter, with the Bears leading 10-6. The Lakers got on the board first with a three0pointer by Erin Furnee on an assist by Hannah Lopez. The Lakers had a 6-2 lead with about four minutes left in the half, but the Bears went on an 8-0 run to close the quarter. Leading the charge for Winnisquam was Mackenzie Phillippy and Lauren MacDonald with four points apiece.
Position summary:
The HR Lead will provide payroll leadership for PIH Liberia, Leave Management System(jorani), and Timesheet. The ideal candidate will work with the HR Director and Finance team in accurately preparing payroll. The incumbent will support the HR Director in generating HR report (Human Capital), the quarterly Labour Report, managing employees relationship, etc. The HR Lead will work with PIH Partners at the County level and provide accompaniment. The ideal candidate will liaise with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, LRA, NASSCORP at the field level to provide regular training for Harper staff, and the incumbent will work with the HR team in innovating new concepts that will support an engaging and happy work environment where everyone feels comfortable and safe to perform.
Making the right hires post-pandemic

The age of coronavirus has – or at least should have – expanded the candidate pool for small legal practices looking to grow. Knowing how best to bolster one’s team is critical.
Speaking ahead of her appearance at the 2021 Boutique Law Summit, D2 Legal Technology APAC lead Rachel Scanlon (pictured) said that one of the best things to arise out of the past year is that, as a result of increased uptake of remote and flexible working, there are more options for employers to choose from in sourcing new team members.
“I know of firms looking at hiring staff members in other Australian states or even overseas, when in the past it was critical that the work was done in the head office city,” she mused.
Continental Tire has announced the appointment of Ryal Siem as Plant Manager of Continentalâs plant in Clinton. Siem takes over the reins from Michael Egner who will move on to a new role at Continentalâs Headquarters in Hanover, Germany.
âThis was my first experience working in Mississippi, and this team made it special,â said Egner.
âThis Plant has all it takes to grow and continue its success story under the leadership of Ryal Siem. After putting so much energy into this project, I am happy to know that it will be in good hands.â
Siem, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, is bringing more than 30 years of automotive manufacturing expertise. He will lead the growing team, currently more than 500 people, at Mississippiâs first truck tire plant. Previously, Siem was the Plant Manager at Continentalâs tire cord fabric production facility in Barneseville, Georgia.
